Wynford Dewhurst exhibition preview and book launch

Join us to celebrate the opening of our Wynford Dewhurst exhibition and the launch of a new book by Roger Brown. Manchester-born Dewhurst (1864-1941) wrote the first important study on French Impressionism to be published in English and himself painted glorious landscapes in the Impressionist style. All welcome.

Strange and Familiar exhibition preview

Curated by the iconic British photographer Martin Parr, this exhibition is a timely consideration of how international photographers from the 1930s onwards have captured the social, cultural, political and topographical identity of the UK through the camera lens. From social documentary and street photography, to portraiture and architectural photography by some of the leading 20th century photographers.
