There’ll be all sorts to do throughout the evening including talks, tours and tastings. No need to book, just drop in.
6-8pm – See a traditional apple pressing kit for pressing juice in action and taste delicious organic apples.
7 – 7.45pm – Join an apple in art talk with curator Hannah Williamson. Meet Hannah at the bottom of the stairs in the gallery atrium on the ground floor.
6 – 7pm – Storyteller Dr Oliver Bishop – AKA Yan Tan Tethera – translates vintage apple folklore into modern adult tales:
• Apples in myth and folklore, concentrating on apples in life and love.
• Storytelling – In search of the Norse ‘Apples of Youth’.
• Using apples to prolong life with a new beauty/health regime.
• Finding love with apples using a new dating service. Practical demonstration of traditional British superstitions and beliefs.
