Bees at the gallery

What's the buzz with Manchester Art Gallery's bees?

Manchester Art Gallery
Thursday 20 April 2017, 6pm–7pm

Friends of the Gallery only

Join the gallery’s beekeeper John Mouncey for a fascinating talk about the three hives on the gallery roof which house approximately 100,000 bees. The bees play a major role as pollinators for plants in the city centre and the hives are also the source of honey and a lip balm that are sold in the gallery shop.

Booking

The event is free, but numbers are limited and booking is essential.
