Document of Now – half term for 14-19 year olds

What would a document of now look like?

Tuesday 21 February 2017, 11:00 AM–Thursday 23 February 2017, 4:00 PM

Manchester is changing.

How will you use photography to capture the social, cultural and political identity of Manchester?

What do we even mean when we talk about social, cultural and political identities of a place?

Work with artist Carly Bainbridge, photographer Quainaat Irfan, and curator Kate Jesson to create a document of now photobook.

You will visit the Strange and Familiar and Pre-Raphaelite exhibitions, take a ‘psychogeographic’ walk through Hulme and Ancoats to capture content for your document of now, and develop skills of interpretation and editing to assemble and present your photobook.

Tuesday 21, Wednesday 22 and Thursday 23 February, 11am – 4pm (lunches included)
