This course will look at the history of art through the genre of portraits, concentrating on painting, and ranging in time from early Renaissance to late 20th Century, including artists such as Durer, Velazquez, Courbet, van Gogh, and Picasso. The course will take place in the wonderful setting of Manchester Art Gallery.

Thursdays 6-8pm.

Start date: 27 April 2017 for 10 weeks. There is no session on Thursday 25 May.

Cost: £62 or free for those in receipt of income based benefits.
