What are the unseen borders that effect our lives? We'll be looking at the Re-Frame exhibition by mother and daughter artists Caroline Broadhead and Maisie Broadhead in this free, creative workshop
Manchester Art Gallery
Tuesday 18 December 2018, 1pm–4pm
Free, no need to book
These lively and sociable workshops are led by artist Naomi Kendrick and supported by audio description. Naomi uses the multi-sensory aspects of her own practice to encourage participants to understand the art works on display though touch, sound, smell, sight and sometimes even taste. This approach means that these workshops are also particularly appealing for blind and partially sighted participants.
These Making conversation workshops are open to everyone and take place on the last Tuesday in the month, from 1.00-4.00pm. Each session starts with a question which is explored through an exhibition visit, talking and making activities.
A warm welcome to the session with refreshments, and all materials, are provided. Manchester Art Gallery may be able to help with travel costs/arrangements for visually impaired people. Please call Kate Day at the Gallery on 0161 235 8840 or email: k.day1@manchester.gov.uk for further information.
