A Renaissance soundscape at the Whitworth

Thomas Schmidt, Professor of Music at the University of Manchester offers a unique way to look at the engravings of one of the radical originators and innovators of the European tradition of printmaking: Marcantonio Raimondi (c. 1480-c. 1534), a leading printmaker of the Italian Renaissance perhaps best known for his groundbreaking collaboration with the Renaissance artist Raphael.


The event takes place at the Whitworth and is free, but numbers are limited and booking is essential.
