Create your own MAGazine cover in this week's family workshop
Manchester Art Gallery
Wednesday 3 August 2016, 1pm–3pm
Join us this season in the Clore Art Studio for a super, stylish summer.
This week, artists Olivia and Sarah will be encouraging you to create your own MAGazine cover, inspired by the covers and photographs on display in Vogue 100: A Century of Style.
Experiment with typography, imagery, objects and colour to explore layering techniques, composition and scale to create an eye-dazzling cover.
Are you a journalist, artist or editor?
There will be a number of different stations for you to become…
– a journalist – by documenting the Vogue exhibition through drawing or writing
– an artist in the Clore Art Studio – collaging cut out images and your drawings
– an editor – playing around with the composition and finalising your cover
You decide what’s hot and what’s not!
Continue your artistic journey outside the gallery. Write an exciting article for your MAGazine at home.
All ages welcome but especially for ages 2-11 with parents or carers.
There will be a quiet room available for children with autism.
All of our sessions are free.
