Join us in the Café Drawing Room for a very special wine evening.
Manchester Art Gallery
Thursday 9 November 2017, 7pm–9pm
We are teaming up with Plaimont Wines, a dynamic co-operative in the Gers region of South West France, to present five of their wines, alongside five carefully matched dishes created to show these beautiful wines at their best.
Anthony Lucy, one of the Plaimont wine growers and producers, will be joining us to talk about the region, the co-operative and the individual wines.
Plaimont is an union of cooperatives which has been created in 1979 in South West of France. The name comes from the 3 cellars based in the villages of Plaisance, AIgnan and Saint-Mont.
Today, 800 families of winegrowers are involved and work with Plaimont, over 4 regions, which provide richly diverse and authentic wines from the local grape varieties of Colombard, Gros Manseng, Arrufiac, Petit Courbu and Tannat.
