Manchester Art Gallery
Thursday 28 January 2016, 6.15pm–8.15pm

Europia invites you to a cultural evening combining art, literature and language. Author B.E Andre will read extracts from her novel With Blood and Scars, which explores themes of loss, longing, community, family, refugee status and racism. The evening will also offer an opportunity to participate in one of three activities including learning English or Polish through conversations about art on display and a storytelling workshop with Hannah Wadle.

This is a partnership event between Manchester Art Gallery and Europia. Europia support and work with Eastern European Migrants living in Greater Manchester. Manchester Art Gallery runs English corner twice a month, which uses art and objects to help people learning English as a second language.
