Summary

A parkland landscape with a stone wall and steps to the foreground. The steps are seen end on and there is a group of figures to the far end of them. Two people are seated on them, facing to the right. Beyond them a woman and child can be seen on the steps; they are standing and the child is facing the viewer. There is a sunken lawn to the right edge and trees can be seen in the background. There are two tall, narrow trees to the right and a line of trees to the left which follow the line of the steps.
