Summary

A man standing in an ornate interior. The man is facing to the right towards a decorative vase on a tall pedastal. He is holding a cane up to his chin and has his right hand on his hip. He is wearing an embroidered coat over breeches and a waistcoat. In the background is an elaborate table supported by carved figures and a large painting in an ornate frame. Published in 'L'Art'. In 'Catalogue of Etchings with Comments by Mr. Philip G. Hamerton' published in 1912 (p.46) this print is described as 'A good example of what Waltner can do in etching without the help of either aquatint or dry point. A successful interpretation of Fortuny's glitter'.
