James Cecil, 5th Earl of Salisbury (June 8, 1691 - October 9, 1721) was a British noble, politician, and peer. He was known as Viscount Cranbourne and succeeded his father to Earldom in 1694 and was Lord Lieutenant of Hertfordshire 1712 to 1714.
