L'Etude du Procureur [In the Office of the Solicitor]
Summary
A seventeenth century office interior. The walls are hung with small labelled bags and to the right is a tall desk with a calendar on the wall behind it. A man in a dark suit and wide brimmed hat is standing behind the desk. A line of people stand to the left of the desk, with a woman seated at the head of the queue next to the desk. She appears to be in discussion with the man behind the desk. A man to the bottom right corner is looking into a tall wicker basket, with a dead rabbit hanging over the lid and apples on the floor around the base. There is a decorative border around the image and inscriptions in French at the bottom. Print by Abraham Bosse. Published by Jean Leblond.
