Summary
A bookplate design. A central monogram is encircled by two snakes. The snakes are joined into a loop with each holding the other's tail in its mouth. There is a fish to each side at the bottom and an insect to each side at the top. There are inscriptions to the top and bottom of the image: EX-LIBRIS and ELKIN / MATTHEWS.
