Autumn
Summary
This small print depicts a rural landscape in autumn as there are no leaves on the trees. The bottom right hand corner is filled by a neatly ploughed field and in the lower left hand corner there is a farmer with a plough pulled by two horses working to finish ploughing the rest of the field. On the boundary of this field, which is indicated by a surrounding fence, there are three trees which are spread evenly so that there is one at the edge of the prints frame and another just off centre to the right. Behind the trees a crossroads is marked to the left by a signpost and to the right of this there are four large haybales with a cart on the right hand side next to them. In the distance there are further fields and trees on the horizon.
