Summary

Plate 76 of "The Microcosm of London". Eighteenth century interior with a large assembly of people . The men are wearing tail coats and breeches, the women are in elaborate gowns; some with ostrich feather headdresses. The room has tall windows to the left, hung with red drapes. There is a canopy at the far end of the room with a panel below it decorated with a coat of arms. A candelabra hangs from the centre of the ceiling on a red cord. The room has paintings on the walls but no furniture. There is a fireplace to the right.
