Summary

A river runs quietly through a town and towards an arched bridge. In the foreground, on the right, there are two rowing boats with groups of figures in. One figure stands up on the boat on the far right holding an oar up and out to the right. Another figure stands on another boat pulling a smaller boat in with a rope. On the left, three figures sit on the riverbank turning their heads to look at a standing male figure wearing a hat and holding a fishing rod. Besides him, there is a child carrying a basket. In the middle ground, to the left, a barn can be seen. The city spreads in the background, with a Church spire right in its centre.
