Summary

Portrait of a middle aged man in an ornate oval frame. The subject is shown in head and upper body only, facing to the right with his face turned to the viewer. He has thin curly hair and a small beard and moustache. He wears a cloak and the lace collar of his shirt can be seen under it. The frame is decorated with fruit and flowers with the wing of a bird to each lower side. It is supported by lion's feet to each side. A coat of arms is at the lower centre and an artist's palette with brushes can be seen to the lower left.
