Chiton (Hush)
Francisco Goya Y Lucientes 1746 - 1828
Summary
Two cloaked figures stand together. One is an elderly woman wearing a shawl and is hunched over her walking stick- the tip clasped with both hands. She faces to the left with her eyes downcast. Beside her to the right is an upright figure in a dark coat and hood. She has her left hand closer to her face covering her mouth, whilst she bends over to lower her head close to the old woman’s. There is a dark shadowy tree in the background.
