De Que mal Morira? (Of what ill will he die?)

Francisco Goya Y Lucientes 1746 - 1828

Summary

A donkey in a coat is sitting on its hind legs attending to a man in a bed. The donkey is looking down at the man’s limp wrist, which it holds in its right hoof. The man is wearing a headscarf and shirt lying down, with the bedclothes pulled back to his chest, his head to right and his body to the left. His left hand falls limp off the side of the bed. There are dark shadowed figures in the background with a curtain.
