Disparate Triple (Triple Folly)

Francisco Goya Y Lucientes 1746 - 1828

Summary

Three figures are standing at the centre of the scene. A woman can be seen in the middle, with her arms outstretched and being held by a man to either side of her. She is facing the viewer, as is the man to the right. Beside him, to the far right, a cloaked man stands facing to the left, with his right hand raised in the air and pointing with his index finger. The man to the left has two faces, as do the figures standing behind him. In the shadowy background is the suggestion of a creature with wings.
