Summary

A portrait of a middle aged in an ornate frame. The subject is facing to the left with his face turned towards the viewer and wears seventeenth century armour. He has long wavy hair and a small beard and moustache. The base of the frame is decorated with two winged cherubs and a sword and bell cap to the right edge. There is an heraldic shield between the cherubs. The frame is inscribed "EDWARD MONTAGUE LORD KIMBOLTON". Portrait of Edward Montague, Lord Kimboton and the Earl of Manchester and Lord Chamberlain.
