Summary

A portrait of a young man in an ornate frame. The subject is facing slightly to the left with his head turned to face the viewer. He wears a long curly wig. The base of the frame is decorated with a cherub holding a bell cap on a staff to the right and a quill to the left. There is a lyre, a mask and book spines to the bottom right corner and a sword to the left. The frame is inscribed "Sr. RICHARD STEELE".
