Summary

A portrait of a middle aged cleric in an ornate frame. The subject is facing to the right with his head turned to face the viewer. The base of the frame is decorated with a naked infant kneeling in front of an open book. The child is turned to look at the viewer and is pointing at the book with her right hand. There are grotesque figures in the shadows to the right corner and a cloth over the top of the book with a papal crown design to the right. The frame is inscribed "TILLOTSON ARCHBISHOP OF CANTERBURY".
