Summary

A portrait of a middle aged man in an ornate frame. The subject is facing the viewer and is wearing robes of state, a decorative chain and a long curly wig. The base of the frame is decorated with three female figures; to the left a woman holds a distaff, the central figure has a sword and scales and the third woman is tending to a smoking urn on a pedastal. The frame is inscribed "KING GEORGE I".
