Summary

In this etching the Figure of Christ is being taken down from the cross by several figures. A richly dressed man is standing at the bottom left holding a cane. To the right bottom corner are two women and a man kneeling and sitting on the ground. The man has his back to the viewer and is looking up at the cross. Other figures can be seen at the right midground. There is a misty looking city in the background. Shafts of light are falling on the cross from the top right edge of the print.
