Summary

Interior of a study. A man is standing at a large desk which is covered with papers and scrolls. He is wearing a turban and an ornate cloak and is looking towards a large leaded light window to the right. At the centre of the window is a circular device with an inscription: AMRTET ALGAR ALGASTNA / ADAM TE DAGLRAM / INRI (this is at the centre of the device). Light is radiating from the circle and a figure can be seen in the shadows behind with a finger pointing towards an object held to the right. There is a globe to the bottom right foreground.
