Bridge and Cows
Joseph Mallord William Turner 1775 - 1851
Summary
There is a rickety wooden bridge across a stream in the centre middle ground. A group of figures is situated on the left side: two sit and other stands carrying a basked in her left arm and facing forward. On the same side, two male figures can be seen on the foreground. One is seated and facing forward while the other, with a walking stick, a hat and a knapsack, stands and is seen from behind. On the right, cattle rest and drink from the stream. Several trees and a building in the background complete the landscape.
