Summary

A scene through a window with a still life on a table in the foreground and mountainous hills in the background. Three cottages are seen on the right side of the hill, and a tree grows half way down in the centre. Further down the hill is a brick wall and an open gate. In the foreground a pair of binoculars rest on the windowsill to the right, while the table to the left has on it a gas lamp, a vase with thistles and an empty tea-cup. The work is printed using only brown, grey and black.
