Summary
Three figures, a man, a woman and a child, are standing outside a house. The woman has a baby strapped to her back, a basket over her left arm and a staff held in her left hand. The man is stood behind her and wears a broad brimmed hat. The child is stood to the left of the woman with his back to the viewer. An elderly man is standing in the doorway to the left, he is putting coins into the palm of the woman. In the background are more buildings, diminishing to the right.
