Summary

Desdemona sleeps in a draped bed. Behind her Othello in fancy court clothes with plumed hat looks at her with crazed expression. He holds a knife in his right and a candle in his left which illuminated Desdemona. This is the 47th print from Volume 2 of 'A Collection of Prints from Pictures Painted for the Purpose of Illustrating the Dramatic Works of Shakespeare by the Artists of Great Britain (1805)'. The description is 'Desdemona, Othello, Iago, Cassio, Roderigo, Emilia, etc.'.
