Summary

Study with two men leaning against railings in conversation in the centre. The man nearest the viewer has his hands clasped behind his back and faces the left. His bearded companion wears a hat and rests both his hands on a cane. Behind them, at their feet, several figures are asleep on a bank. In the top left corner is a small drawing of a woman carrying a basket being caught by a policeman. The bottom half of the drawing is more finished than the upper section, as is the head and neck of the first man.
