Comic Figure Riding a Pantomime Horse

John Leech 1817 - 1864

Summary

The image is of a 'pantomime' fancy dress costume of a man riding a horse. The head of the figure is very large and round, he is holding a riding horn in his right hand, which is also raised to the mouth. The wearer's legs are being used as the horse's legs, and so false ones, representing the riders, at either side of the horse. The horse and rider are facing the right. The image fills the paper.
