Six Angels with the Sudarium, the Crown of Thorns and other Instruments of the Passion
Summary
Winged infants in flight holding instruments from Christ's Passion. To the lower right an infant holds up the Crown of Thorns, to the left the cloak. At the upper centre the Sudarium, or St. Veronica's cloth (a cloth with the face of Christ on it) is held by another cherub. Two infants to the upper and centre right edge hold the hammer and nails. There is no background detail. The verso has a line drawing of a standing figure in classical dress. private: mounted with 1962.149
