Summary

A bearded man with a flock of sheep on a roadway borderd by trees. There is open land to the right midground. The shepherd is at the centre midground and the sheep in front of him to the right foreground. The shepherd is facing the viewer with his head turned to the left towards the trees. He is wearing a hat and has a staff in his right hand. He appears to be leaning away from the trees. Lines issuing from the trees indicate rays of light.
