Summary

A country road with a row of cottages to the right. The cottages have low steep roofs. Trees can be seen to each side of the foreground and at the left edge. A man and a woman are on the road at the bottom left foreground, facing away from the viewer. The man has a large bundle on his back and the woman carries a swaddled child on her back. There are sheafs of corn stacked against the wall of a cottage at the centre midground. A dovecot is visible above the cottage roofs at the upper right edge.
