Enamel on metal and painted in colours with three panels of flower bunches (two on the body and one on the centre of the lid) within raised gilt/yellow scroll borders on a rose Pompadour ground which is decorated with scrolls and floral sprays in raised gilt/yellow enamel. Some nutmeg is contained within the body of the grater.
