Summary

An oblong box with concave sides, a hinged lid, and a plain brass mount. Enamel on metal and painted on the lid with elongated figures of a well dressed lady and gentleman, standing in a landscape, the lady carrying a basket on one arm. The scene is set within a border of small scrolls in raised white enamel. The sides and bottom are decorated with five panels painted with bouquets of flowers, in similar borders, all on a dark blue ground with a trellis and dot pattern.
