Summary

An oval box with concave sides and gadrooning around the base, plain brass mounts and a mirror inside a lid which is hinged and domed slightly. Enamel on metal and freely painted on the lid on a white ground in colours, opposing flower bunches and birds nests around a central oblong panel in ultra marine bearing the inscription 'A Triple from Liverpool' in gold. Lid decoration encircled in a border of raised white enamel dots on a lighter version of the ground colour. The body of box is turquoise.
