Summary

An oval box with concave sides and gadrooning around the base with a plain brass mount and a hinged lid with a mirror inside. Enamel on metal and painted in the centre of the lid, in sepia, in a slightly raised panel, with a landscape with a church and trees, surrounded by a blue border bearing a motto in perished gilt lettering, encircled by raised white dots and gilt scalloping on white. Body of the box is ultramarine.
