Summary

Hat for a fancy dress evening costume; gold lamé turban with chin strap; decorated with strings of glass beads and beaded square motifs with green and clear cut glass and metal braid; blue and green silk chiffon scarves (or veils?) are swathed around the top and hanging down loose to the left-hand side; a longer orange chiffon scarf is attached across the crown to be caught up to the costume by two pleated points. Lined with khaki silk. Inner labels: "Lord & Taylor, new York", and hand embroidered "courtier Soeurs, Paris; Made in France".
