Summary

Lincoln green plain weave worsted, lined with pale salmon pink glazed plain weave worsted, trimmed with black velvet.Said to be a costume of the Royal British Bowmen High round neck with black velvet standing turn-down collar. Fronts each in one section, with curved front edges, fastening centre front with two metal hooks and eyes; horizontal band forming artificial pocket flap left and right front; back in two sections with centre back vent; long sleeves each in two narrow curved sections angled at elbow, ending in black velvet cuff fastening with button (missing) at outer wrist; torso lined with pale salmon pink glazed worsted; large pocket in each side; sleeves lined white cotton; dress preservers, white cotton; centre fronts edged with wide band black velvet, each with eight decorative buttons (missing); pocket bands each edged black velvet and trimmed with button (missing); lower front edges and back vent edges each trimmed with a triangle of salmon pink in the form of turn-back lining, edged black velvet, corner trimmed black velvet heart, upper sleeve trimmed with deep band of black velvet at armhole, separate band black velvet across each shoulder from neck to armhole buttoned to neck with velvet covered button; upper inside back inscribed "Ed Morgan GG 1792".
