Dark blue wool tailcoat trimmed with gold braid. Small standing collar. Edge to edge fastening with hook and eye. Cut-away front with swallow tail back. Six pairs of large gold metal buttons embossed with Manchester crest down front. Pocket flaps with similar buttons each side. Back skirt in two. Epaulettes covered in knotted gold cords terminating in large aiglets. Sleeves with buttons at cuffs. Body lined with hardtwilled cream alpaca like wool. Machine quilted at front. Sleeves lined with twilled white cotton.
