Fishing on a Squally Day

James Webb 1825 - 1895

Summary

A dramatic storm-tossed sea, with two small fishing vessels just out of harbour in the centre and to the right. The right hand vessel is pulling in its nets. Wood lined harbour walls are in the foreground to the left, and two figures in the bottom left corner are standing on the walls watching the boats. There is a tall shed at the end of the jetty in the background to left.
