Summary

Flettened cone shape hat. Base of stiffened white buckram entirely covered in powder blue coloured hen's feathers. Over this is swathed a broad swirling band of coloured birds feathers. These feathers comprise mostly browns and rusts, probably from game birds. Unlined apart from blue petersham band and narrow black elastic wire to fasten below bun or chinon.
