Summary

Quilting design of background diamonds with stylised flowers at hem and a swirling band. Constructed in six panels, with two side plackets, faced in green silk. Lined with beige calamanco and interlined with white lambswool. Altred late 19th century - hem taken up 1" but subsequently let down again to original. Waistband replaced and petticoat repleated and machine sewn possibly, also several inches from the top of the skirt hem have been removed. One placket has been machine stitched closed.
