Summary

Shaped like a doctor's bag. Fastens on the top with two 'push in' catches and a small circular lock. Top edges reinforced with metal strips. Handle fixed by metal rings onto the top edge of the bag. Interior lined with coffee coloured watred rayon. Mirror pocket on one side. Contents : 1) Small silver finished brass match holder decorated with clouds and cherub design on each side. Hinged on one short edge. Sinking ship on base of holder. 2) Silver coloured card case with top fastening and chain handle. Case engraved with floral and bird design and panel with owners initials. Interior of case lined with blue wateed silk and has card compartments containing cards belonging to Mrs Bickerton and Henry N Bickerton. 3) Pair of skiing goggles with tinted green glass. Brown leather surround is lined with acrylic fur and fastens by means of brown elastic straps and hook and eye mechanism. Green lens consists of a layer of green perspex sandwiched between two layers of glass.
