Summary

Pale orange fine wool in pleated weave, and green velvet. Lined with pink silk. High round neck, stiffened standing collar covered with pleated green chiffon and trimmed with two made-up green satin ribbon bows, fastening with two hooks and eyes. Dress fastening CF with eighteen pearl buttons. Front edges trimmed in green satin ribbon hanging from shoulder, with weighted made-up bows each side under wide turndown collar, stiffened with green velvet lined silk. 'Watteau' back with pleats falling from the shoulders, reminiscent of an eighteenth century sack back gown. Ribbon tie inside waist. Long very full 'leg 'o mutton' sleeves.
