Summary

Deep pink silk. Bodice lined with white linen. Shaped to blunt point at Cf waist. Narrow band over shoulder meeting neckband at back with centre seam and two sewn-down pleats each side tapering from shoulder to waist and continuing into skirt. Elbow length sleeves. Full round neck, extending beyond left front in a length to cover the centre join of the bodice. Hem faced with white silk. Cuffs and ruffles : Plain cuffs, lined with linen. Each curved on edge for outer elbow and curved arm opening from narrower straight edge for inner elbow. One pair with slightly shaped raw edge, traces of stitching and thread, other edge widening in scallops from narrow band for inner elbow, edge pinked frill. One pair with similar frilled edge, other edge also shaped from narrow band at inner elbow with small pinked scallops turned back and slightly gathered to form frill. Traces of additional stitching threads.
